This terminology is a compilation of abbreviations for accelerators, vulcanizing agents, activators, antidegradants, plasticizers, softeners, processing aids, blowing agents, retarders, isocyanates, peroxides, and antireversion agents used in the compounding of rubber products. Abbreviations for rubbers are listed in Practice D1418 and a numbering system for various grades of carbon blacks is described in Classification D1765.
This international standard was developed in accordance with internationally recognized principles on standardization established in the Decision on Principles for the Development of International Standards, Guides and Recommendations issued by the World Trade Organization Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Committee.
