This specification details the requirements of waterborne, low bake sprayable damper. Low bake refers to the target bake temperature range of the primer surfacer applied at the assembly site. The purpose of the sprayable damper is to reduce vehicle noise vibrations from the engine, tires, transmission and stone impingement.
Material Description. The material must be a smooth and homogeneous mixture that contains no lumps, no excess air, unmixed particles or foreign materials. The material must adhere to all production electrocoat. Specific material requirements and appropriate test methods are listed in the requirements section of the sprayable damper specification, GMW6725.
