AIM

The aim of this agreement is to standardize a stability test procedure for single base (SB), double base (DB), and triple base (TB) propellants using heat flow calorimetry.

The test procedure was developed to facilitate cross procurement and provide a means by which countries can satisfy themselves that propellants received from abroad will remain chemically stable for a minimum of ten years if stored at temperatures equivalent to an isothermal storage at 25°C.

This agreement is intended for use by the NATO Participating Nations.
