User/Relationship:

a. The Special Inspection Equipment Concept details design performance calibration and accuracy requirements information to be used for screening and approval of recommended SIE prior to design and fabrication of the SIE. It is used in design control to screen each proposed design against the procuring activities' existing inventory of equipment to satisfy the requirement; maintain management control over the efforts of the contractor in the area of inspection equipment; and assure integration of design of acceptance inspection equipment.

b. This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format and content preparation instructions for the data product generated by the specific and discrete task requirement delineated in the contract.

c. This DID may be used when the provisions of ISO 9001 apply to the contract. This document may be obtained from www.iso.org
