This Recommendation describes the general requirements for a universal power adapter and charger solution for mobile terminals (any terminal able to connect to a mobile network) and other hand-held ICT devices (e.g., MP3/MP4, PDA, camera, wireless earphone) compliant with the electrical current limits set out in Annex B.

This Recommendation includes basic configurations and general requirements for the power adapter and charger interface, energy efficiency, safety, electromagnetic compatibility, resistibility, and eco-environmental specifications.
