This method describes two procedures for evaluating the visual haze of distillate fuel oils.1
This method also applies to biodiesel fuel blends.
Procedure A (Field Evaluation) is a rapid field procedure used to rate the visual haze of distillate fuel oils at ambient temperatures. Procedure B (Laboratory Evaluation) is a laboratory procedure used to rate the visual haze of distillate fuel oils at predetermined temperatures under controlled conditions.
The testing and evaluation of a product against this method may require the use of materials and/or equipment that could be hazardous.
