scope:
This standard applies to four types of automotive (on-road) diesel fuel, Type A‑LS, Type A‑ULS, Type B‑LS and Type B‑ULS, suitable for use in high-speed diesel engines that require low-sulphur diesel fuel to meet emission control regulations.
All types of this fuel can be used in all high-speed diesel-powered equipment.1
Types A‑LS and A-ULS are intended for use in selected applications or when ambient temperatures require better low-temperature properties than Types B‑LS and B-ULS have.
Types B‑LS and B‑ULS are intended for use in diesel engine applications.
