scope:
This standard describes the requirements applicable to persons with competence for carrying out inspections (hereinafter referred to as "Competent Persons") and to the training programmes for Competent Persons who are to be tasked with inspecting fire extinguishers in accordance with Art. 16 BetrSichV (Industrial Safety and Health Ordinance) in conjunction with Annex 2 Para. 4 (pressure equipment).
The quality and inspection provisions of the RALGZ 974 Gütegemeinschaft (Quality Assurance Association) are in conformity with the requirements of the present standard. This standard is not concerned with the requirements applicable to Competent Persons with regard to inspecting fire extinguishing systems.
