Introduction

The previous issue of these work instructions was written in response to ORR improvement notices with regards to 650V signalling power supplies. It was agreed with the standard owners (both M&E and Signalling) that a further issue was required to capture all signalling power supplies above 175 V ac.

This work is part of the signalling power improvement programme undertaken by Safety, Technical and Engineering (STE).

The safety instructions previously captured by NR/L3/SIGELP/50001 have now been moved to their own level 3 standard NR/L3/SIGELP/50002. This was carried out in response to key stakeholder requests.
