Purpose
This standard defines the minimum requirements for the installation, testing and commissioning of asset types and equipment associated with LU's legacy signalling system, which comprises two aspect signalling with AC fed track circuits, plus mechanical trainstops and interlocking.
The purpose of this cover document is to enable continuity of signalling documentation, consistency of document numbering and provide traceability through the recorded document history.
Scope
The details of legislative requirements, national and international standards, company rules and procedures, equipment, tools and PPE may have changed since the issue of S&CSE ST0021-A2, but the principles of safety, security, training, efficiency and responsibility remain.
This standard is to be superseded by a new Installation Handbook, planned for November 2012.
This document contains S&CSE-ST0021-A2 (dated February 2001) as an Appendix.
