Sustainable development is now considered by many organizations and their stakeholders the model to follow. An increasing number of companies currently act and communicate based on their triple performance (i.e. economic, environmental and social). Educators and scientists can follow this example by keeping in mind the bigger picture when it comes doing research and educating young people, helping improve the overall health of the society in which we live. This book assesses some of the major environmental problems facing developing and developed regions of the world and suggests solutions for resolving them.
