Bu standard, dizel motorlar ve isitma uygulamalarinda % 100derisimlerde yakit olarak veya dizel motorlarda kullanilan EN 590'auygun damitilmis yakitlarda ve isitma yakitlarinda bir katkimaddesi (harmanlama urunu) olarak kullanilan yag asidi metilesterleri (YAME/biyodizel) ile ilgili ozellikleri ve deneyyontemlerini kapsar. % 100 derisimli YAME, %100 derisimli YAME ilecalismak uzere tasarimlanmis veya daha sonradan uyarlanmis dizelmotorlarda ve isitma uygulamalarinda kullanilabilir.
