This International Standard specifies the sizes of test piecesand test specimens, and the procedure for carrying out tensiletests, for determining the tensile strength and location offractures in welded joints with transverse stressed fillet welds.It is applicable to metallic materials with welded cruciform andlapped joints on plates, where the term plate ? alone or incombination ? refers to plates, sheets, extruded bars or othersolid sections. Information concerning the evaluation of testresults is not included in this International Standard.
