This European Standard specifies testing methods to establishthe basic characteristics of newly manufactured pantograph contactstrips. Not all tests may be relevant to some designs of contactstrips. This standard does not define tests for pure metalliccontact strips. This European Standard excludes wear tests, andtests using a particular pantograph. Additional supplementarytests, out of the scope of this standard, may be necessary todetermine suitability for a particular application and are by prioragreement between customer and manufacturer.
