This part of EN 45545 specifies the reaction to fire performancerequirements for materials and products used on railway vehicles asdefined in EN 45545-1. The operation and design categories definedin EN 45545-1 are used to establish hazard levels that are used asthe basis of a classification system. For each hazard level, thispart specifies the test methods, test conditions and reaction tofire performance requirements. It is not within the scope of thisEuropean Standard to describe measures that ensure the preservationof the vehicles in the event of a fire.
