This Standard specifies the technical delivery conditions forseamless cold drawn steel tubes of circular cross section used inhydraulic and pneumatic power systems. Tubes according to thisdocument are characterized by having precisely defined toleranceson dimensions and a specified maximum surface roughness. Theallowed pressure rates and upper temperatures are theresponsibility of the customer in accordance with the state of theart and in application of the safety coefficients specified in theapplicable regulations, codes or standards. Concerning the lowertemperature range applicability the impact energy requirements aregiven at 0 ?C. NOTE Once this standard is published in the OfficialJournal of the European Union (OJEU) under Directive 2014/68/EU,presumption of conformity to the Essential Safety Requirements(ESRs) of Directive 2014/68/EU is limited to technical data ofmaterials in this standard and does not presume adequacy of thematerial to a specific item of equipment. Consequently, theassessment of the technical data stated in this material standardagainst the design requirements of this specific item of equipmentto verify that the ESRs of the Pressure Equipment Directive aresatisfied, needs to be done.
