NOTE 1 Truckspowered by CNG (compressed natural gas) are not dealt with. It isintended that CNG and other power sources be addressed in futurerevisions of this part of ISO 3691. For trucks with an elevatingoperator position of more than 1 200 mm and/or trucks designed totravel with an elevated load of more than 1 200 mm, this part ofISO 3691 is intended to be used in conjunction with ISO 3691-3.NOTE 2 ISO 3691-3 is not applicable to counterbalanced fork lifttrucks or trucks intended for container handling. NOTE 3 Somelow-level order pickers with an elevating operator's position up toand including 1 200 mm lift height can be equipped with anadditional lifting device to lift the load to a maximum lift heightof 1 800 mm. This part of ISO 3691 is not applicable toself-propelled variable-reach trucks, driverless trucks or burdencarriers, which are covered in ISO 3691-2, ISO 3691-4 and ISO3691-6, respectively. NOTE 4 For the purposes ofthis part of ISO 3691, fork arms, load platforms and integratedattachments are considered to be parts of the industrial truck.Attachments mounted on the load carrier or on the fork arms whichare removable by the user are not considered to be part of theindustrial truck.
