Bu standard, bir yuk veya yolcu demiryolu tasitinin tahriksizdingilli monoblok tekerinin Avrupa demiryolu sebekesindecalisabilmesi icin gereken kurallari kapsar. Tahrik edilmisdingillerin tekerlekleri veya sonumleyicili tekerlekler icinkurallar tadil edilebilir veya il?veler yapilabilir. Hafif tasitlarve tramvaylar icin, musteri ve tedarikci tarafindan kabul edilendiger standard veya dokumanlar da kullanilabilir. Bu standardsadece yeni tasarimlanmis tekerleklere uygulanir. Bu kurallar,onerilen kullanim icin secilen tasarimin gerekliliginidegerlendirmeyi amaclar. Bu kurallarin degerlendirilmesi, teknikonay islemidir. Bu standard, kalite sartlari EN 13262?de belirtilendovme tekerleklere ve haddelenmis tekerleklere uygulanir.
