This European Standard specifies definitions and requirementsfor sealants used for sealing of joints applied in sanitary areasin the interior of buildings exposed to non-pressurized water. Itcovers joints in: - bathrooms; - toilets; - showers; - domestickitchens. Industrial, drinking water, underwater (swimming pools,sewage systems, etc.) and food contact applications are excludedfrom the scope. This European Standard does not provide criteria orrecommendations for the design of joints and installation ofsealants in sanitary applications.
