This Technical Specification describes the specific `Design forPRM use' requirements applying to rolling stock on theTrans-European Network (TEN) covered by the TSI for PRM and theassessment of those requirements. Regarding this document, thefollowing statements apply.- The definitions and requirementsdescribe specific aspects of `Design for PRM use' required bypersons with reduced mobility as defined in the TSI PRM; - Thedefinitions and requirements of this specification will be used forrolling stock applications; - This specification only refers toaspects of accessibility for PRM passengers; it does not definegeneral requirements and general definitions for specificcomponents and systems; - This specification assumes that thevehicle is in the nominal operating condition; any damage oroperating failures will not be taken into account when assessingthese requirements; - Where minimum or maximum dimensions arequoted, these are absolute NOT nominal requirements. Measurementmethods and/or assessment procedures needed to establish a clearpass/fail assessment are provided where necessary.
