This European Standard specifies requirements for Guarantees ofOrigin of !Electricity" from all energy sources. This standard willestablish the relevant terminology and definitions, requirementsfor registration, issuing, transferring and cancellation in linewith the RES, !Energy Efficiency" and IEM Directives. This standardwill also cover measuring methods and auditing procedures. TheseGuarantees of Origin may be traded and/or used forDisclosure/Labelling. The content of this standard can, forexample, be applied, after necessary modifications, to heating,cooling, and gas (including biogas). These modifications are notpart of this standard. This European Standard will not establishany sustainability criteria, this work is done elsewhere. Thisstandard is suitable for certification purposes.
