CEN/TS 16157 specifies and defines component facets supportingthe exchange and shared use of data and information in the field oftraffic and travel. The component facets include the framework andcontext for exchanges, the modelling approach, the data content,the data structure and relationships and the communicationsspecification. Part 6 of this Technical Specification is applicableto: ? Parking information ? static and dynamic information abouturban or interurban parking sites including Truck Parkinginformation It establishes specifications for data exchange betweenany two instances of the following actors: ? Traffic InformationCentres (TICs), ? Traffic Control Centres (TCCs), ? ServiceProviders (SPs), ? Parking Operators. Use of this TechnicalSpecification may be applicable for use by other actors. This Partof the Technical Specification includes the following type ofinformation content: ? Parking information including static content(description and attribution of parking areas, parking sites andsingle parking spaces) and dynamic content (occupancy and vehiclemeasurement information). It covers urban parking information aswell as Truck Parking information. It also covers a publication forinformation about specific parking vehicles. Thus, this Part ofCEN/TS 16157 specifies the informational structures, relationships,roles, attributes and associated data types required for publishingparking information within the DATEX II framework. This isspecified as a DATEX II Parking Publications sub-model, which ispart of the DATEX II platform independent model, but this Partexcludes those elements that relate to location information whichare specified in CEN/TS 16157-2.
