active, Most Current
Organization: TSE
Publication Date: 29 April 2016
Status: active
ICS Code (Welding consumables): 25.160.20
scope:

This International Standard specifies requirements forclassification of rods and wires in the aswelded condition and inthe post-weld heat-treated condition for tungsten inert gas weldingof nonalloy and fine-grain steels with a minimum yield strength ofup to 500 MPa or a minimum tensile strength of up to 570 MPa. ThisInternational Standard is a combined specification providingclassification utilizing a system based upon the yield strength andthe average impact energy of 47 J of all-weld metal or utilizing asystem based upon the tensile strength and the average impactenergy of 27 J of all-weld metal. a) Paragraphs and tables whichcarry the suffix letter ?A? are applicable only to rods and wiresclassified to the system based upon the yield strength and theaverage impact energy of 47 J of allweld metal in accordance withthis International Standard. b) Paragraphs and tables which carrythe suffix letter ?B? are applicable only to rods and wiresclassified to the system based upon the tensile strength and theaverage impact energy of 27 J of all-weld metal in accordance withthis International Standard. c) Paragraphs and tables which haveneither the suffix letter ?A? nor the suffix letter ?B? areapplicable to all rods and wires classified in accordance with thisInternational Standard.
