This part of ISO 4892 provides information and general guidancerelevant to the selection and operation of the methods of exposuredescribed in detail in subsequent parts. It also describes generalperformance requirements for devices used for exposing plastics tolaboratory light sources. Information regarding performancerequirements is for producers of artificial accelerated weatheringor artificial accelerated irradiation devices. NOTE In this part ofISO 4892, the term ?light source? refers to radiation sources thatemit UV radiation, visible radiation, infrared radiation or anycombination of these types of radiation. This part of ISO 4892 alsoprovides information on the interpretation of data from artificialaccelerated weathering or artificial accelerated irradiationexposures. More specific information about methods for determiningthe change in the properties of plastics after exposure andreporting these results is given in ISO 4582.
