This European Standard specifies the structural designrequirements applicable to all types of adjustable pallet rackingsystems fabricated from steel members, intended for storage of unitloads and subject to seismic actions. This European Standard givesalso guidelines for the design of clad rack buildings in seismiczones, where requirements are not covered in the EN 1998 series.This European Standard does not cover other generic types ofstorage structures. Specifically, this European Standard does notapply to mobile storage systems, drive-in, drive-through andcantilever racks or static steel shelving systems. This EuropeanStandard does not apply to the design of seismic isolated rackingstructures.
