Genelde, ilgili frekansaraligi 100 Hz ile 10000 Hz orta-band frekansa sahip 1/3 oktavbandlarini kapsar. Uygulamada, frekans araligi, olcumlerin amaclariacisindan yeterli gorulmus deney odasinin ozelliklerine gore,genisletilir veya daraltilir.
