TSE - TS EN ISO 11665-2

Measurement of radioactivity in the environment - Air: radon-222 - Part 2: Integrated measurement method for determining average potential alpha energy concentration of its short-lived decay products

active, Most Current
Organization: TSE
Publication Date: 18 April 2016
Status: active
ICS Code (Radiation measurements): 17.240
scope:

This part of ISO 11665 describes integrated measurement methodsfor short-lived radon-222 decay products[4]. It gives indicationsfor measuring the average potential alpha energy concentration ofshort-lived radon-222 decay products in the air and the conditionsof use for the measuring devices. This part of ISO 11665 coverssamples taken over periods varying from a few weeks to one year. This part of ISO 11665 is not applicable to systems with a maximumsampling duration of less than one week. The measurement methoddescribed is applicable to air samples with potential alpha energyconcentration of short-lived radon-222 decay products greater than10 nJ/m3 and lower than 1 000 nJ/m3.
