ISO/IEC 18000 has been developed in order to: -provide aframework to define common communications protocols forInternationally useable frequencies for radio frequencyidentification (RFID), and, where possible, to determine the use ofthe same protocols for all frequencies such that the problems ofmigrating from one to another are diminished; -minimize softwareand implementation costs; -enable system management and control andinformation exchange to be common as far as is possible.
