This part of IEC 61340 defines the ESD protective packagingproperties needed to protect electrostatic discharge sensitivedevices (ESDS) through all phases of production,rework/maintenance, transport and storage. Test methods arereferenced to evaluate packaging and packaging materials for theseproduct and material properties. Performance limits are provided.This standard does not address protection from electromagneticinterference (EMI), electromagnetic pulsing (EMP) or protection ofvolatile materials.
