This standard only applies to superabrasives products containingnatural or synthetic diamond or cBN (cubic boron Nitride). Itincludes precision grinding and cutting-off wheels, non-precisioncutting-off wheels, diamond wires, mounted points and othersuperabrasive products for non-precision grinding. It also appliesto reconditioned superabrasive cutting-off wheels." This standardspecifies requirements and/or measures for the removal or reductionof hazards resulting from the design and application of thesuperabrasive products. This standard contains also procedures andtests for verification of the compliance with the requirements aswell as safety information for use which is to be made available tothe user by the manufacturer. The hazards taken into considerationare listed in Clause 4. This standard does not apply to bondedabrasive products, coated abrasive products, rotating dressingtools, truers nor any non-rotating superabrasive products.
