This European Standard specifies requirements for parkourequipment for use mainly by users starting from 8 years of age.This European Standard recognizes that parkour movement ispersonally determined by users, using controlled physical exertionfrom, to and through equipment elements and structures; bothpermanently installed and portable. The requirements are intendedto protect users from hazards that they might be unable to foreseewhen using the equipment as intended, or in a manner that can bereasonably anticipated. This European Standard also specifiesrequirements for the installation and maintenance of parkourequipment, including area, height, flow, location and separationfrom other facilities, including children?s playgrounds andmulti-use games areas (free access multi-sports equipment). NOTE Aslisted above, this European Standard is only applicable to parkourequipment, installation and maintenance, but not for example toparkour activities.
