The objective of this European Standard is to achieve the safeoperation of gas connection valves for use with metal hoseassemblies by specifying the requirements of performance, materialsand test methods. Metal hose assemblies are referred to in prEN14800 and prEN 15070. These valves are suitable for connection todomestic appliances inside or outside a dwelling using gas at apressure of up to and including 0, 5 bar. These valves are designedfor the use with movable appliances; they may also be used for theconnection of fixed appliances. The term gas relates to the first,second and third families as referred to in EN 437, Table 1.
