This European Standard provides a scheme for thecharacterisation of plastics wastes, laying out those propertiesfor which the supplier of the waste shall make informationavailable to the purchaser, and identifying test methods whereapplicable. The scheme provides for a division of informationbetween "Required Data", where a statement is required, even if itis "unclassified", and additional "Optional Data" which thesupplier may choose to provide if it adds value to the waste. Thisstandard is applicable without prejudice to any existinglegislation. NOTE This standard does not cover the characterisationof plastics recyclates.
