scope:

This International Standard specifies general procedures for thepreparation, measurement, marking, storage, and conditioning ofrubber test pieces for use in physical tests specified in otherInternational Standards, and the preferred conditions to be usedduring the tests. Special conditions, applicable to a particulartest or material or simulating a particular climatic environment,are not included, nor are special requirements for testing wholeproducts. This International Standard also specifies therequirements for the time interval to be observed between formingand testing of rubber test pieces and products. Such requirementsare necessary to obtain reproducible test results and to minimizedisagreements between customer and supplier.
