ISO 8178 bu bolumu ISO 8178-4 ve ISO 8178-11 yilinda verilenegzoz emisyon testi dongulerini gerceklestirmek icin tavsiye ediliryakitlar belirtir. Oncelikle yol kullanimi icin tasarlanmis motorlutasitlar icin motorlar haric, mobil, tasinabilir ve sabit tesislericin, icten yanmali motorlar karsilikli icin de gecerlidir. ISO8178 bu bolumu kullanilan motorlar tatbik edilebilir, ornegin,makineleri toprak tasima ve jenerator ve diger uygulamalaricin.
