This part of IEC 61280 is applicable to the measurement ofattenuation and optical return loss of installed optical fibrecable plant using single-mode fibre. This cable plant can includesingle-mode optical fibres, connectors, adapters, splices and otherpassive devices. The cabling may be installed in a variety ofenvironments including residential, commercial, industrial and datacentre premises, as well as outside plant environments.
