This European Standard specifies the characteristics of deckingprofiles and tiles made from cellulose-based materials andthermoplastics, usually called wood-polymer composites (WPC) ornatural fibre composites (NFC), for external use. This part of EN15534 is applicable to extruded profiles but also to tilesmanufactured by other plastics processing techniques, e. g.injection moulding. It is not applicable to kits (i.e. support railprofiles, cover strip profiles and hardware) which are out of thescope of this part of EN 15534. EN 15534-1 specifies the testmethods relevant to this part of EN 15534. NOTE For editorialreasons, in EN 15534 the abbreviation "WPC" is used for "compositesmade from cellulose-based materials and thermoplastics".
