This International Standard specifies the locations of couplingdevices for electrical and pneumatic connections between towing andtowed commercial road vehicles. It is applicable to heavy vehiclesequipped with pneumatic braking systems and 24 V electricalequipment of the following types: drawbar-trailer combinationswhose towing vehicles have rear-mounted couplings or couplingsmounted forward and below, and articulated vehicles.
