Scope.

This specification covers five types of nylon cloth for use in the fabrication of parachutes.

Type designation.

The nylon cloth shall be of the following types as specified.

Type I - 1.20 oz/sq. yd (0.5-5.0 cfm air permeability) - Rip stop weave

Type II - 1.12 oz/sq. yd (30-50 cfm air permeability) - Rip stop weave

Type III - 1.17 oz/sq. yd (30-50 cfm air permeability) - Rip stop weave Type

IV - 1.20 oz/sq. yd (0.5-3.0 cfm air permeability) - Rip stop weave

Type V - 1.17 oz/sq. yd (0.5-5.0 cfm air permeability) - Rip stop weave Type

VI - 1.5 oz/sq. yd (0.5-3.0 cfm air permeability) - Rip stop weave
