This part of IEC 61755 defines certain dimensional limits of anangled PC rectangular polyphenylene sulphide (PPS) ferrule opticalinterface in order to meet specific requirements for fibre-to-fibreinterconnection. Ferrules made from the material specified in thisstandard are suitable for use in categories C, U, E, and O asdefined in IEC 61753-1. Ferrule interface dimensions and featuresare contained in the IEC 61754 series, which deals with fibre opticconnector interfaces.
