This module provides requirements for workbank planning which cover:

a) major interventions;

b) minor works; and

c) centrally managed costs.

It supports network assurance activities to inform Route submissions through use of infrastructure cost modelling.

NOTE: See clauses 9, 10 and 11 for definitions supporting requirements.

This module applies to all Network Rail staff responsible for level crossing workbank planning.

Purpose

The purpose of this module is to specify the requirements to undertake level crossing workbank planning for Control, Command and Signalling systems and associated assets under the control of other disciplines for future control periods. It supports the level crossing asset management policy.

NOTE: It should be read in conjunction with other asset policies. Committed schemes in the current control period should be included in the process for the purposes of completeness within the infrastructure cost model.
