Network Rail Route Businesses England & Wales and Route Business Scotland staff respond to planned and unplanned events involving the OHL equipment as they are reported and make sure of a timely response and determine the full details and effects of a failure in order to maintain the safety of the operational railway.

This procedure makes sure that any blockage to AC electric trains is effected in a consistent and safe manner.

PURPOSE

This procedure allows both Network Rail's Route Businesses England & Wales and Route Business Scotland staff to safely deal with isolations affecting the overhead line AC system.
