scope:
This procedure provides the approach to be applied by controllers when dealing with incidents involving:
a) fires on trains;
b) fires affecting the infrastructure or the operational railway;
c) lineside fires involving cylinders.
PURPOSE
This procedure provides a risk based approach to manage incidents involving fire and smoke that affect railway infrastructure and the safe running of trains.
