This procedure is related to all common or exclusively controlled areas of Network Rail Managed Stations except:

• St Pancras (Midland Road) Station, where this is covered by the St Pancras International Station arrangements.

• Stations where the Train Operators lead with the development of the plans as the Service Provider to Network Rail Infrastructure Limited. Any alternative arrangements will be documented via Safety Validation or approved Statement of Arrangements.

This procedure applies to all vehicles used in all Network Rail Managed Stations premises. This does not include non-resident contractors where NR/L3/OPS/045/5.04 should be applied. The following items are included but are not classed as vehicles: trailers, non-powered tanking bowsers, un-braked or braked cages and catering modules.

PURPOSE

To put in place a system to manage the maintenance, specification, operator training, pre user inspections and safe system of work for all vehicles and operator propelled plant with all Network Rail Managed Stations.
