Purpose.
The purpose of this test method is to determine the resistance of metals, metallic and other protective coatings, normally applied to automotive components to sulphur dioxide in an environment of high humidity.
The test is accelerated and carried out using sulphur dioxide injected into air saturated with water vapour at specified temperatures.
