scope:
This DIN SPEC specifies the composition, mechanical properties and other relevant characteristics of copper ingots and copper castings made of CuSn4Zn2PS. Other copper alloys are not part of this DIN SPEC and are described in EN 1982. For the applications of this document the information and requirements according to EN 1982 are applicable.
This DIN SPEC is applicable to:
a) copper alloy ingots made of CuSn4Zn2PS-B intended to be remelted for later processing (e.g. castings); and
b) copper alloy castings made of CuSn4Zn2PS-C which are intended for use without subsequent working other than machining.
