scope:
The method described in this standard is designed for the determination of the atmospheric deposition of the following PAH compounds:
• benzo[a]anthracene (BaA)
• benzo[b]fluoranthene (BbF)
• benzo[j]fluoranthene (BjF)
• benzo[k]fluoranthene (BkF)
• benzo[a]pyrene (BaP)
• dibenzo[a,h]anthracene (DBahA)
• indeno[1,2,3-cd]pyrene (INP)
Samples are collected by means of a funneladsorber collector and analysed using the HPLC/FLD or GC/MS technique. The method has been validated for the determination of mass depositions ranging from approx. 10 ng/(m2·d) to approx. 400 ng/(m2·d). The equivalence to the reference method described in DIN EN 15980 (funnelbottle bulk collector) has been demonstrated for a 4-week sampling period.
