AIM

The aim of this NATO standardization agreement (STANAG) is to describing the characteristics of communication and information systems (CIS), the overall structure of CIS, roles and responsibilities for CIS, and command and control (C2) of CIS.

INTEROPERABILITY REQUIREMENTS

This doctrine will further contribute to interoperability by providing a common basis for the identification of operational user needs and for the design and procurement of systems, structures and equipment related to CIS.
