This supplement shall be read in conjunction with Def Stan 61-21. This supplement provides a definitive specification for the electrical, physical, performance and nomenclature requirements for 30V 15Ah (Nominal), Lithium Sulfur Dioxide battery, NSN 6135-99-840-0109 and 30V 7.5Ah (Nominal), Lithium Sulfur Dioxide battery, NSN 6135-99-747-4430. It is essential that the battery is operated only within its design and performance parameters, also that it is NEVER EXPOSED TO TEMPERATURE EXCEEDING 70ºC, CRUSHED PIERCED OR DEFORMED IN ANY WAY OR DISCHARGED BELOW 20 VOLTS.
