Purpose of This Notice.
This notice provides guidance for the Continued Operational Safety (COS) of Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR) parts 121, 135, and 145 operations. This notice includes guidance for part 121 certificate holders' Safety Management Systems (SMS) as required by 14 CFR part 5, and for parts 135 and 145 certificate holders' Safety Management System Voluntary Program (SMSVP). This notice also includes guidance for the revised Safety Attributes for all 14 CFR certificate holder oversight in the Safety Assurance System (SAS).
